Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

Sarah Balderas said... is really strange that you touch on this subject since, only two nights ago, my boyfriend and I were talking about this very thing. We found that the fear of success overrides the fear of failure in both of us. These photos are awesome...great tones, and a shift in perspective from your previous ones. Really love the second and last photos! (I don't know why, but I thought of alice in wonderland when I saw the legs and tea cups. :)

Thanks sarah :) i hope you see this. I tried to reply to your blog instead but for some reason i couldn't post my comment.

Although i want to believe the quote, I think my fear of inadequacy overrides my fear of success haha. I can't see why I would fear success, and I don't think i do. But i definitely fear being unsuccessful. And I think I am.

Glad you like the photos. I find every time I go through some sort of personal rut which dissolves any kind of inspiration, my way to always work back in is with some simpler photos, usually conceptual or self-portraits, and then I take it from there.
