So it's been a while since I updating this thing. I sent my computer to be fixed, it took about three months, but I finally got it back. I also went to France for a while. There's too much to update you on in terms of my photography, but here's an interesting thing I found.
A few posts back i posted a photography or a portrait of Mary-Kate Olsen from a 2007 issue of Marie Claire - the image was amazing. Well, I looked up the photographer, Ruven Afanador and found his portfolio. He does a lot do celebrity and New Yorker Portrait photography, but his most interesting work, I think, is his fashion photography. I think that he probably enjoys doing it the most. He isn't commercial at all - but a true artist in every sense of the word. I don't want to post photos here, so check out his website.
On another note, in a strange happening, I by mistake sent my trusty tripod to the states with my parents...it's probably a good thing because I might not have had room for it in my bag and would have died if I had to leave it. So, I purchased a small travel tripod which would have been really dandy to have in France and for the nights my friends and I go to the beach. It's maybe like four feet high and not very sturdy, but it does the job. It only weighs one pound and cost me 99 LE, meaning less than $20. Cool!
